We strongly recommend adding an ice pack to your liquid yeast order. We are located in Texas and even in the "winter" here it is sometimes hot enough here to harm yeast during shipment.

Details

A classic strain selection for brewing Belgian dubbel or Belgian tripel. This Abbey strain produces a nice balance of complex fruity esters and phenolics, making it desirable for use in other Belgian style ales as well. A flocculent, true top cropping yeast (additional headspace is recommended), that will work over a broad temperature range. This strain makes a great Belgian style “House” strain. Recommended styles: Belgian Dubbel, Belgian Golden Strong Ale, Belgian Specialty Ale, Belgian Tripel, Biere de Garde.
Attenuation: 74 – 78%

Optimum Fermentation Temperature Range: 64 -78F

Fantastic belgian yeast Review by Brad
Rating
I've been making a belgian triple for the past 6 years with WLP530 and it was good, but always missing something. This is what it was missing. Started fermentation at 66 and let it rise to 72. The results were amazing. Going to try it in my abbey next and see what happens. (Posted on 1/9/2018)
Great for Westmalle Abbey Tripel clone Review by Elbert
Rating
I used this last year for a Westmalle Abbey Tripel clone that I was fretting over that ended up coming out amazing, getting ready to brew another one this month. (Posted on 3/1/2017)
