who has managed the craft taps at several well-known local craft bars around the Fort Worth area.

In this episode, we revisit the craft retail perspective from our local area by having former General Manager of Trinity River Taphouse, Shawn Howell, in the studio with us to talk about what he’s experienced in his years working with craft beer in the Fort Worth area during his time at The Flying Saucer downtown and Trinity River in the 7th street area. Sadly, Trinity recently closed its doors and one of our better options for craft beer went with it. It's a tough scene and rent ain't cheap in the 7th Street area of Fort Worth. Even the great places can be chewed up.   Also, much like our last craft retail episode, we will do some sampling of the most recent Cap and Hare club evaluation beer, the American IPA from Brewing Classic Styles. This time, the recipe was split between GigaYeast Vermont IPA, White Labs California Ale, Wyeast American Ale II, Lallemande BRY-97, and Lallemande Nottingham.   We had a great time learning from Shawn's experience in the local industry and we think you will too. And be sure to watch out for future endeavors from Shawn as he starts something new on the craft scene.   Thanks for listening!
