In this episode, we talk about fast turnaround primary fermentation for lager beers or what is commonly called Fast Lagering. It’s sort of a misnomer because lagering means cold storage, which does take time to properly do its thing. But it takes far less time when you work the primary fermentation of a lager yeast strain to get the best results in the fastest time possible, so you get better, more drinkable lagers in weeks instead of months. Plus, we’ll have another Hop-o-Rama that covers a few of the more popular high alpha varieties that work as bittering hops as well as finishing hops. So, take off your pants and kick back with a cold sixer, it’s time to get freaky!

To get the best out of a primary fermentation for a lager to speed up the process, you will want to remember to have a strong and healthy pitch of yeast, solid temperature control, and the ability to correctly measure the progress of your fermentation. Check out the show for more details, but t's actually a very easy process and we feel that it fits any level of brewer, as long as you have the ability to control the fermentation.
