In this episode, we have Ross Hughes the Brewing Sales Executive for the US midwest region for Muntons malting company. Most of you know Muntons, but for those who don’t they are a leading global player in the supply of malts, malt extracts, flours, flakes, and many other malted ingredients relevant to the food and drink industry. In addition, Muntons also manufactures an extensive range of beer, wine and cider making kits, which are also sold globally. Tonight, we’ll discuss the company and some of its products, with a focus on its malts

Then we get into a tasting of the saison batch we brewed on Learn to Homebrew Day 2017. A saison meant to support 3 of the Brettanomyces blends (American Farmhouse, Where Da Funk, and Bring Da Funk) and a clean saison blend (Saisonstein's Monster) from Omega Yeast Labs. We've been really happy with their product, which is a larger format pitchable pack of liquid yeast that contains plenty of viable cells compared to other liquid options. We even put a few of them into competition to see what judges would think!
