  1. Can't wait to get it in the bottle!

I brewed this, my first ever kit beer, about 3-weeks ago. I just took another SG sample, and it's really tasting great- Nice chocolate taste on the front end, and a little peppermint on the tail end. My OG was 1.072 and looks like the FG is going to settle in around 1.014, so about 7.6 ABV! I'm going to bottle this one, but can't wait to try it carbed!!!

I brewed this back in mid October. After calculating my OG and FG, this beer came out to a potential of 7.2%. I let it sit for just over a month in the fermenter and then 3 weeks in bottles. I opened the first of the 2 cases last night and was very, very pleased. My one and only con though; the peppermint was a bit more dominant than I was expecting, but otherwise, the taste was great. I am definitely looking forward to sharing this with friends and family, just in time for Christmas.

Looking forward to brewing this again next year, maybe with a pinch less of peppermint ;-)
