  1. Great kit, give it time though

Excellent beer, very rich, bold, and complex! Give it plenty of time in primary and secondary to develop the full flavor of this imperial. I would have given this 5 stars if my gravity was closer to the label. My gravity came out to 7.5 which is still pretty good but not quite the 8.9 advertised, this may be my error in rushing it though. Very much a slow sipper, and a nice night cap. My friends call it the "sandman" because it's off to bed quickly after!

I want to start by saying that i really love sipping a strong imperial IPA. this is the best IPA that i have ever made.

IPAs with this kind of IBU tend to be on the fruitier and pale side. this one packs the punch of an imperial IPA and has the smokey blend of an dark amber that i really like. the mix is awesome. certainly not a guzzler. this is the kind of beer that you would open for friends over a game of poker (good friends).

a little on the pricey side for a kit. just at $80, but on par with other IPAs of this caliber. I usually spend about $9 for a 4-pack of an IPA of this caliber. So, if you do the math the 4-pack is $2.25/beer and this is $2.00/beer assuming you get 40 beers out of it (I got 39).

100% recommend to an imperial IPA kind-a-guy (or gal)
