Details

Wyeast 1728 Scottish Ale Yeast is a versatile "house" strain that ferments clean and neutral. It is perfectly suited for the strong, malty Scottish Ales. 

Recommended Styles include Scottish Light/Heavy/Export, Wee Heavy, Irish Extra Stout, Tropical Stout, Foreign Extra Stout, Imperial Stout, Double IPA, American Barleywine, Baltic Porter, Old Ale, Seasonal/Winter Beer, Smoked Beer, Wood-Aged Beer, Braggot

Flocculation: High

Attenuation: 69-73

Temperature: 55-75

ABV: up to 12%

Tips and Tricks: 

Higher fermentation temperatures result in increased esters.
