Welcome to Stubby's Texas Brewing Inc.

We strongly recommend adding an ice pack to your liquid yeast order. We are located in Texas and even in the "winter" here it is sometimes hot enough here to harm yeast during shipment.

Great Performance, good flavor Review by Clarke
This is the second time I've used WLP300. The first was in a stout to go for a banana stout brew so I didn't 100% get the hefe profile from that beer. I used it again recently in a dry hopped hefe (not 100% true to the style but closer than a stout) and was pretty satisfied with the results. Not so much though that I am bound to this yeast for all of my future heres. I'll certainly try Wyeast hefe yeast next time to compare the two. It does give off a very distinct banana flavor and full disclosure, with the dry hopping some of the true clove notes from a traditional hefe may be masked. I also ended up fermenting a few degrees higher than planned which could have also affected my outcome.

It performed like a champ though. I took my 1.053 wort down to 1.011 in 10 days. A few points past my expected 1.013 FG. Good yeast but I wouldn't swear by it and would compare it to the Wyeast hefe next time. (Posted on 8/9/2016)
