Briess Caramel Malt 40L contributes body and foam stability. It produces sweet, caramel, toffee flavors and it adds golden hues.
Use 3-7% of the total malt content of a recipe for balance in Pilsners; 5-10% in California Common, Dopplebocks and Dark Lagers; 5-15% in Vienna, Marzen and Oktoberfest; 10-15% in Bitter Ales, Pale Ales, Mild Ales, Strong Ales and Belgian Ales; 5-15% in certain styles of Brown Ales, Scotch Ales, Stouts and Porters.
