Details

Flaked Rye gives a traditional rye spiciness and dry, crisp character to Rye Beers.
Typical usage is 5-10% of the total malt content of a recipe, but some people use up to 40%. Start at 5-10% and increase in increments of 5% because of the concentrated flavor of Rye Flakes.
