2nd place Review by Caleb
Mast this as an ale and it’s good. I entered it in a local brew competition (Emmetsburg Iowa) and it got 2nd place when entered as a Dark Mild, BJCP 13A. (Posted on 12/1/2017)
Good for Beginners Review by Glenn
This was one of my early attempts. It turned out well but I never repeated it. Perhaps my goals changed once my confidence was up. I would recommend this to someone just getting started and is wanting to explore different styles. (Posted on 3/15/2017)
Awesome beer!!! Review by Brandon
I am new to brewing, and this was my second beer to make. It turned out so clear I could read a magazine through the glass. I enjoyed it very much, but my friends really liked it. Liked it so much the keg didn't last long. I will be brewing this again and will have to keep it in stock at all times. (Posted on 8/9/2016)
Crowd Pleaser! Review by Kyle
This beer is very inexpensive for an extract kit and can be ready quickly. Mine turned out great with 1 week in primary and 2 in secondary, then kegged (I used the dry yeast). Not a "traditional" bock, more of an easy drinking beer with a slight malt profile very similar to a popular bock made in Texas. An excellent choice for pleasing your friends who aren't craft beer aficionados; this is a great gateway beer to more complex ones. This kit turned out exactly as I expected from the description. If you are looking for a 7.0+ ABV, thick, malty, more traditional bock this probably isn't the kit for you, but if you like the description you will be well pleased! (Posted on 8/9/2016)
Gone too fast! Review by Lemon Squeezebox
This was the 3rd or 4th beer I ever made. It is still one of my favorites. Very easy drinking. It is similar to that famous Texas bock, but I think this is even better. I used the dry yeast not the traditional bock yeast. I'll definitely be making this one again and again. (Posted on 8/9/2016)
