Key Features

Brew up a batch of summer ale and relax
This beer was created to be an easy drinking beer, but still have some alcohol unlike a lot of wimpy summer beers. We added corn sugar to lighten the body which makes it easy to drink. The beer is then finished with Paradise Seeds to give it a nice peppery and citrus flavor.
Yeast Bottle Caps and Priming Sugar not included

  1. A Perfect Football Beer
    Rating
I have brewed this five times, far more than any others. It is my football season beer and it is the refreshing, slightly hoppy style that goes well with all those game day goodies.

  2. TBI Summer Ale (Extract)
    Rating
The beer came out light and crisp! It was recommended that I use 2 dry packs of SatAle US-05 and I did. Fermentation seemed slow at the beginning, but was steady for the first 7 days. That's when I switched to second carboy and let it rest for two weeks at 64-66 degrees. The recipe said that it will have a 6.8-7.1 ABV, but mine was finished out at 5.5 ABV. Still plenty of kick if you drink two pints.
I give this recipe a two thumbs up. It makes a great smooth tasting summer ale with the slight hop finish.
I wonder want would happen if you left out the Corn Sugar (60 min) out of the recipe?
