Spring is here in Texas and that means it is time to break out the grill and make some barbecue, and our BBQ Blonde is the perfect beer to pair with it. This beer is brewed with Cherry Wood Smoked Malt to give it a nice smoky character while still being light enough to be enjoyed while sitting outside on the patio. CAPS, PRIMING SUGAR AND YEAST NOT INCLUDED

Smokin'! Review by Kyle
Rating
I brewed this kit using the BIAB technique as my first all grain batch. I did a single step mash as recommended in the instruction sheet with no issues. I only fermented for 2 weeks because I wanted to take some homebrew with me to share on a trip I had not planned ahead for. At first it was overpoweringly smokey which was really odd. I let the rest sit in the keg for 2 more weeks and the smoke flavor really mellowed out. At that point it was a really smooth, easy drinking blonde with a subtle smokey character. Except for the immature growlers I tried too early this beer was excellent. Do a normal fermentation schedule of 4 weeks or more and you will be very happy with the results! Definitely a change from the same old summer brews. I give it 4 stars because I prefer to save 5 star ratings for the mind blowing, completely exceeded all expectations kind of beers.
