A 6.5 gallon glass carboy can be great for primary fermentation of a 5 gallon batch of wine or beer. Using a glass carboy for fermentation allows you to monitor the process, and check/admire the color and clarity of your beer or wine. Perfect for aging / clarifying / long-storing wine and beer, the tapered neck of this glass carboy minimizes headspace, and reduces the chance of oxidation.
